United Prayer - Day 23

These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers. ACTS 1:14

Jonathan Edwards, the great revivalist and leader in the First Great Awakening, observed 3 key characteristics in the Church before national revival. First, there was great unity in the Church. Second, there were widespread concerts of prayer. Lastly, there was an increase of holiness in the Body.

All across America, students are uniting together to believe for another Jesus Movement. And not just believing, but laying hold by faith through fasting and prayer. Surely, God is not yet done with the universities of America!

Great moves of God are always preceded by great movements of fasting and prayer. In Acts 1:14, we see the first and primary ministry of the church was this ministry of prayer. Prayer was not just their first ministry, for a season, it was their only ministry. It was in this setting that Pentecost comes forth and thousands of souls begin to be saved!

Pray for God to give students a burden and vision to devote themselves to prayer for their campus. Pray for God to unite believers on campuses together as they gather to pray.
